The Isla Canela golf course is an 18 hole, par 72 links golf course on the island which is five minutes drive from the Marina , was completed in 1994. It is well established and popular with residents on the island, visitors and holiday makers alike. Set in a beautiful landscape setting with Canals and palm trees, dotted with olive, orange and eucalyptus trees, it offers challenging and entertaining play on its gentle sloped dunes.

The attractive club house caters to every golfers need, buggies, trolleys and clubs are available for hire.  A driving range is situated next to the clubhouse.  There is a permanent golf school as well as a golf shop, a bar and a restaurant. There is also a swimming pool and two bowling greens next to a beautiful terrace on which to sit and relax.

There are also plans for a second golf course to be built on the island, close to the first one. It will be crafted in the same style and offer all the challenging and rewarding golfing that visitors to Isla Canela golf course have come to know and to expect.

Golf on the Costa de la Luz and the Portuguese Algarve

There are about 25 golf courses on the Costa de la Luz! In the province of Huelva alone, within half an hour away by car, there are eight quality golf courses to choose from. The dry and sunny climate makes the region superbly suited for year-round golfing and the sport has been growing steadily in the region

Islantilla Golf Club is a spectacular 27 hole championship course (currently being extended to 36) within half an hours drive and has all the facilities one would expect of a first rate club. It was host to the Spanish Open Golf Tournament in 1995 and in 2000 Golf Digest magazine rated it in the top 100 best European golf courses. Portugal courses includes; Castro Mari, Quinta da Ria, Quinta da Cima, Benamor ; all within 30 mins drive.
